In the aftermath of the 1994 Rwandan Genocide, Diane Parker arrived in US on a full scholarship and could NEVER forget how many children were still living on the streets in her hometown. Herself receiving her first Christmas gift at age 22 in the US and kept to the heart the struggles facing children and mothers in the hometown where she grew up.

Now settled in the USA, with a happy family that rarely needs anything more, Diane felt compelled to give back to the community. She started helping children get off the streets and put them back in elementary schools, one child at time, sending "First Christmas Gifts" where Santa has never been and so on.

Over the past 20 years, what started as a small mission to help a few homeless children, evolved into a non-profit organization that makes a difference in lives of hundreds every year.
